  1. The Remote Automation SmartBox Ultra acts as the central control unit that connects field sensors (such as the dissolved oxygen meter, pH sensors, temperature probes, turbidity sensors, etc.) with mechanical systems (aerators, feeders, pumps, and valves). Its main functions are:
  • Data acquisition from DO meter and water quality sensors
  • Data transmission to a secure cloud platform
  • Automated control of connected devices based on real-time conditions
  • Emergency alerting when water quality falls below safety thresholds

  1. Data Collection and Transmission
  1. Sensor Integration:
    • The dissolved oxygen meter continuously measures DO concentration (mg/L).
    • Additional water quality sensors (temperature, pH, ammonia, turbidity) can be connected to the smart box.
  2. Smart Box Processing:
    • The smart box reads the sensor signals in real-time.
    • Embedded microcontrollers or PLC logic compares readings against pre-configured threshold values.
  3. Secure Cloud Storage:
    • Data is encrypted and transmitted via 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, or LoRaWAN to a secure cloud server.

  • Feeders:
    • Feeding schedules can be automatically adjusted based on DO and water quality (e.g., preventing feeding when oxygen levels are too low to reduce stress and mortality).
  • Valves and Pumps:
    • Smart box can open/close inlet/outlet valves to flush poor quality water and pump in fresh water.
    • Flow is regulated automatically when ammonia, turbidity, or pH levels cross unsafe limits.
  • Other Systems:
    • Lighting, heaters, or circulation pumps may also be triggered based on environmental data.
